The fuel and temp gauge don't work in my 1988 samurai. The fuel gauge reads empty when the tank is full and goes up as the tank is used up.

The temp gauge reads cold when the engine is first started, but goes off the hot end of the scale when the engine warms up. I measured the actual temp at 173F with an infared gun. I've replaced the sending unit with the same result.

any ideas?

Thanks

Just a suggestion .. Make sure you still have a good ground at to the dash unit .. if both units failed at the same time? I've seen this happen on other vehicles .. not sure if it applies here or not..Good Luck..
