NJ requires to have two plates on a car (or it's like a $120 fine) and I am fine with having both. But the dealer attached the front plate directly to the front bumper. I would like to remove the dealer's plate frame, but if I do the bolts holding in the plate don't screw all the way in the hold the plate secure. Is there supposed to be an actual bracket that holds the front plate on?

Thanks for the help.

I also got rid of my dealers cheezy plate frames and had the same problem. I took a couple half inch rubber grommets and put them between the plate and the bumper. It made it tighter and now the front plate won't wreck the bumper
