Electrical feedback problem?

I think I have a challange for the electrical guru's, at least it has been for me. I have a totally stock 1991 Sammie JL with fuel injection. When the truck is stationary everything works fine and all is normal. As soon as the truck starts to move forward or reverse both of the turn signal indicators on the dash start to flicker and glow. At about 10-15mph they are on steady,although exterior turn signals/hazzards work normal when I turn them on. Also when the truck starts to move the fuel gauge goes past full and the temp gauge goes past hot. When I stop the vehicle turn indicators stop glowing and both gauges slowly return to normal. I have searched for bad grounds untill I feel I have run out of options. I have added 12 gauge ground wires from battery to engine,engine to body and body to frame. Is there some type of signal generator in the instrument cluster that has failed ? Is there a ground under the dash somewhere that I am missing? My problem seem to be related to the transmission output shaft/speedo cable rotation. Thanks guys, any help would be appreciated. :confused:

I would guess that you're either missing a ground from the dash or that you should have a ground jumper across the flexi coupling on the steering column

sounds like a ground to me?Although it could be anywhere.I do emergency vehicle wiring for a living and almost always when you have weird stuff going on like your describing its a grounds fault.Ive seen grounds do some really funny stuff.Look under your dash,hood,rear,everywhere and make sure the grounds are tight and not any broken wires....Wiring issues will make you pull your hair out so take your time and just have a beer while you go looking,it may take a while..

Thanks for the reply KJ. I feel its a ground issue also, but what strikes me funny is the truck has to be rolling for the problem to appear. I am starting to think I may have an instrument cluster/printed circuit board/electronic type issue. Gonna pick up my new tires and wheels tomorrow, so after I install them I will have an excuse for a road test. I think I will dis-connect the speedo cable before I road test the tires and eliminate or confirm suspected cluster problem. Who has beer on sale this week? LOL

that is odd?Now im shooting from the hip here but isnt there a wiring harness that plugs into the back of the cluster?Im thinking it is.If so I'd run down the grounds there?Im about to head out for the day to my next job but tomorrow I will ask some of my co workers and see what they think as well..

I suspect that its grounding through the VSS on the back of the speedo.

Kinda what I'm thinkin Rhinoman. Would that be the black box attached to the back of the cluster? Might of lost the ground through the VSS. Gonna dis-connect speedo cable and road test to verify. Thanks...:liebe011:
