Hi,

I am new to all this and have just bought a 1998 Vitara in a lovely shade of blue with silver exterior trim....manly! Anyway I have decided to repaint the vit, to a more military style colour of olive and black. I have been able to remove all the exterior trim and sills etc, but have found that all the clips are still left in the body, the arch ones are white squared and the door panels are black circular. Does anybody know how I remove these, and if I break any, where I might get replacement ones?

Any help would be awesome!

There is a special tool for removing them, so you don't break them. The clips are plastic, and expand on the other side of the panel - that part needs to be squeezed in, so that it can be slid back through the hole in the panel. Something like this:
