Hi all...
new owner of a 2010 GV prestige 2.4 auto.
73 000km
ESP service message is displayed.
No issues with the vehicle, no weird noises or symptoms of an issue.
Is this a service interval alert (and if so, is there a reset procedure?) or the engine management detecting a problem?
Considering buying a Foxwell NT301 Scanner to diagnose.
Anyone able to guide me?

cheers.....Simon

It means there is an issue somewhere in the esp system. Get it scanned for codes and be aware that the esp and possibly the ABS system will not be functional depending on what's happened. Car is safe to drive but stability and braking performance may be impacted.
Basic elm based dongle and torque will at least get you codes. Forget the 301, if you want a basic one, get the nt630 pro or similar as that can bleed the abs unit.

Codes are a starting point. It can be anything from a battery with low cranking volts to a bad wheel speed sensor.

Does it only appear first start then disappear subsequent starts?
