So, we own a 2007 suzuki swift.

While refueling the car at a petrol station, the car wouldnt start until we got a jumpstart.

Later on, the steering went rock solid, and just died and has the EPS, ABS and airbag light on and wont start. Also brake pedal goes flat to the floor and brakes barely work, aswell as it takes ages to get up to 50mph. Previous owner sais its a belt that snapped and that it will cost no more than £20

Any idea what this is or how to fix it, aswell as how much it will cost?

check to make sure the belt that drives the alternator is still there. Charge light? was it lit or not with engine running? This belt also drives water pump so overheating and siezure is a distinct possibility. You shouldn't be driving it and should have investigated further before attempting to drive it.

Get it to a mechanic to diagnose properly and provide an estimate for repair. if its just a belt, $30 ish. If you have done significant damage then it could be a new engine.
