Im thinking of putting in a new engine in my suzuki. or would it be chepper to rebuld or recondition the engine in it now?
(any suggestion) also can anyone tell me what the differnece is between a rebuld or Recondition engine?

Any infomation on this topic would be greatly Appreciated :liebe011:

As far as I know there really isn't any difference. It depends on what they check when they rebuild/recondition an engine. You have to check with the company that is doing the work and see what parts are being replaced and what part are being reused. This is definetly a project that you have to make sure you are comparing apples to apples. You should also look at the warranty. If a person gets a good rebuilt the engine it should be considered reconditioned when it's finished.

The only difference that I can think of is that you can have just certain parts rebuilt. You can have someone rebuild it and just do the cylinders and new rings, rebuild the head, replace the conn. rod bearings and the main bearing. This to me would be considered rebuilt.

A reconditioned engine will have/should have everything gone thru. measured and checked and should have mostly new parts.

what work they will do. and hopfully it dosent cost to much. :liebe011:

what sort of warranty Should come with getting this job done?

E-bay has /had master rebuild kits with new oil pump for $285 U.S. last month west coast best price I could find :)
