Hey guys quick question I blew a head gasket it 95 sidekick JlX 16 valve, I am now replacing all gaskets and cleaning her up. I was curious what areas the RTV silicon needs to be applied?

Also, since I have motor tore out any other suggestion? I am going to change water pump, and time belt, anything else I should change since it's all tore up?

One more thing I have just acquired a 96 sidekick motor that has 100000 miles would it be easier just to do full motor swap with this one 96 motor better than 95?

Thanks for the help!

Look forward to being a part of the forum.

Any RTV needs to be sensor safe or it will contaminate some of the EFI sensors. It is needed on the oil pan and I would put the thinnest smear possible on any fibre gaskets except the head gasket - if its thick enough to squeeze out the side then its too much.
