Hello i got a 2007 SX4 automatic gear and i have been noticing when i travel long distances, the temperature rises quickly. Yesterday i went for one hour drive and the temperature rose to the end of the meter ( to the red zone ). I checked water level in the radiator before setting out and it was full.

When i checked this morning, i had to add arouns 0.5litres of coolant to the radiator. The bowl next to the radiator had still some coolant left though

You need to check the tube from the recovery tank to the rad, it should suck coolant back into rad when cooling..
