Hi all,just a quick question regardind diff ratios,are the centres the same ratio between a SJ70 and a SJ50.as I need to put a new centre in my SJ70.

no. the sj50 is a 3.9:1, and the sj70 is a 3.7:1. if you need those centers, you would need to change both the front and rear.

Thanks for your reply Whincup.The ratios have been a little tall,since I fitted the 33's.So the earlier diffs might suit me better.How has anyone got around this problem after fitting bigger wheels/tyres.Is there a better ratio diff than what im about to fit?Im only using these because I have an SJ50 spare parts car sitting in my yard.It could certainly do better than it is now because 5th is gear is as good as useless,The car slows down if it sees a hill coming up.

there are places that sell transfer cases using higher ratios. im not sure of stock ratio or the aftermarket ratios, but i imagine they'd be easy to find...
