I am having trouble removing the crankshaft bolt. Is there anyone who has had similar difficulties? if so any help would be appreciated. Its a 92 samurai with the 1.3.
I made my own tool to hold the crank shaft pulley while loosening or tightening.
Plate to lock the crankshaft in place to remove/tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt and/or flywheel. The notch of the left fits the lower alternator bracket without any offset required.
The bolt is a left-hand thread and must be loosened by turning counter-clockwise. The torque spec is about 85-90 ft/lbs. Some manuals may have 55 ft/lbs. which is too loose and may result in the key way problems.
You surely mean right-hand thread if it is to be loosened by turning CC?
