I have a 1986 Suzuki Samurai 1.3 and it seems that many of the dummy lights are not working. When turning the key to accessory the sensor, brake, and 4x4 will light up before starting, but all the other lights are out. I am wanting to run the codes, but I don't have a check engine light. Any ideas on where to start?
Thanks!

what do you need a light for - check the oil, water and if it starts and runs that's it - the brits don't call them idiot lights for nothing, most of them are more decorative than truly functional

I would begin by pulling / checking the individual bulbs, to eliminate possible bad ones, first off. :)

Second bulbs and fuses. the CEL is really nice to have as it can show you codes. I have seen them intentionally disabled to hide the fact that a vehicle is throwing a code.

I think that you'll find that the 'Sensor' light is the only CEL, is this an emissions controlled carb model?
