Hi, I'm away from home but would appreciate a little help with a measurement.

My mother wants to buy our 3 year old a radio flyer wagon (nice one grandma!). However whether or not it fits upright in the back of the tracker plays into the decision...

The nice steel wagon (Model 1800) is apparently about 21 inches wide at the axles and 17.5 inches on the tray. Length is just under 40 inches.

I usually keep the back seat in the "vertical" position so that should help I guess.

The plastic interior panel on the tailgate is pretty beat up already, so I'm not averse to trimming in a couple of wheel sized holes or even doing away with it. Would that buy a a but more space at floor level, or is the steel frame the limiting structure?

Thanks!
Ty

Does it have to come assembled? It will break down into a pretty small package. Should be only a few bolts.

Thanks, I'm sure it'll fit assembled or not, at least on its side.

But I'm thinking the real bonus of the wagon might be it's usefulness to haul around beach picnic or scuba gear etc. Would be really convenient to just pop the loaded wagon right in..
