Hi All,

Newbie here.

I have a 86 stock Samurai, all original. Got it a few months ago on a deal and it ran fine.

Now, I have crank no start. Have spark, have fuel.

I'm an Old Chevy Truck gal, I have no idea where to start with this lawn mower!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Give it a 2 second shot of starting fluid in the carburator and see if it starts for a few seconds..... if yes it's a fuel problem (maybe bad fuel, low fuel pressure, clogged filter etc)....if no some other issue...... don't give it prolonged starting fluid shots as it's not good for the cylinder walls.

I had the exact same issue... Motor would crank but not start. Ended up being the coil. Easy replacement, you can do it by yourself. Let me know if that is the issue.

Well if you have spark and fuel and of course compression. Sounds like a timing issue. I'd be looking for a new timing belt......
