I've been trying to restore my 88 and I have nearly everything on the engine back to life. I get a little low throttle when I first start it up and I'm thinking this has something to do with it. I can't find anything about it in my Haynes manual and don't know anyone that is familiar with this engine. I can just splice some wires in but I was really hoping to simply replace it.

Any help would be appreciated!

It is the vacuum switching valve that activates the secondary throttle valve. Without it, you won't get secondary actuation and full power at full throttle. I don't think it is related to your problem.
