Hello, just purchased my first Samurai and am new to the forum. When I have my heat set for my dash vents it is ice cold. The truck has air conditioning and the compressor seems to be running. If I have it set to defrost or floor, it does blow fairly warm although the fan is pretty anemic compared to other vehicles I've owned. Any solutions for getting better performance out of my heater?? I live in Alaska and it never gets hot here, mostly year round a good heater is needed. Thinking about removing the A/C system to clear up some space under the hood and increase fuel economy. I will never need it. Thanks!

The dash vents don't put any heat out. They are strictly unheated air or A/C air.

Run a 192F thermostat for max heat, and make sure your heater valve is opening fully.

Excellent information, thanks. I think my thermostat is a lower temp one, my temp guage shows on the cool side.
