Just want to share with you guys my recent trip to Cebu. I hope this would give useful info for those who are planning to bring their rides from cebu to negros or vice versa.

Last Sunday (Sept. 9) we left Bacolod at around 6am and decided to fill up my gas tank with 1000 pesos worth of unleaded fuel (Caltex silver). I just don't know if my fuel gauge is working properly but it indicated "full" from an almost empty tank. By the way how many liters does our tank hold?

Then off we went non-stop to Port Danao in Escalante. We arrived after 2.5 hours of driving. A near-stroll pace for a 113km distance. Around 9:45am the barge left and 2 hrs later we were at Tabuelan port in Cebu. Another 1.5hrs drive and we arrived at our destination in Villa Angelina Subdivision in Sabang, Danao City.

We paid P196 for terminal fees in Escalante and in Tabuelan plus P1000 for the Zuki so that's almost P1400 for one way. Btw, only the driver was free of charge and both my companions paid regular fares of P186 each.

Sept. 10 (4:30am) we left Danao City laden with an entire house, hehe, not really but my pickup's cargo space was really full with almost no space left for me to see the vehicle behind me. Our load was a mix of house stuffs and...house stuffs. Past 6am and we were already in Tabuelan. We boarded a larger barge and guess what, we paid P800 for the vehicle and two persons were free of charge so we only paid for one passenger. My estimate is...the barge was big enough to carry nine Ceres Tours buses. Travel time was almost the same with the first barge. Terminal fees amounted to almost P400 on the return trip.

Noontime, we were already in Bacolod and guess what...after 340km my fuel tank is still a quarter full. The zuki consumed 18liters for the whole trip which equates to almost 19km/L. A very economical ride indeed!, considering that it was fully laden on the way back. The fuel I'm using today was still part of our fill last sunday. Btw, my city driving is 15km/L.

So that's probably my "excitingest" trip this year. Before making the trip I had my tie rod ends, center post bushing, fan belt and timing belt replaced. I had no problem whatsoever with my ride during the entire trip...by God's grace.

I hope you find this informative.

Mileage with AC?

Thanks for your post. I find it very exciting since I only had my van for a few days and plan to make a long trip. BTW , do you have the AC on with the mileage mentioned? How many km/L difference with or without AC if others have a figure.

Thanks

:)

@Lance
Nice trip Bro, Bogo City is about 37Km from Crossing Logo. Crossing Logo is the place where you will depart from the national road in going to Tabuelan.
Anyway, last Sept. 12, we also strolled in Kawasan falls, Badian. About 220Km from my place. I also filled-up my tank upon departing @ 4am and by the time we arrived @ Matutinao Chapel(Badian)@ about 9:30am I did checked my gas meter & it displays 65% of full tank. A really big savings if you're on a continuous run but on City traffic, it's a big thing to settle.
