Hi,
I had driven my SX4 in city for around 900 km. Is there any need to drive up to certain mileage before driving it on highway? (some people said that it would be better to drive a new car in city at least 3000 km before driving it on highway).

Thanks,
KW.:)

naww. You can jump right on the highway on the way home from the dealer.. Never hurt the car. Just don't do a 100 mph blast for 10 miles..:)

Page 6-18 of the US Owner's Manual recommends that, for the first 600 miles (960 km), you should "avoid prolonged vehicle operation at a constant speed," adding that "moving parts will break in better if you vary your speed."

Note that "prolonged vehicle operation" is not defined.... :(
