Just got my new 88.5 Samurai...yesterday...everything checked out have only put 27 miles on it when this vehicle starts cold it revs to about 2k rpm...as it warms say 10mins it drops to 800 to 900...then the more it warms at idle it starts a little skip and a scraping noise sounds like coming from inside timing belt cover...it will do it a few times then almost seems to shut off...scraping sound stops then it picks the throttle up...but the rpm gauge is just fluttering on 8 an 9 hundred...any ideas and is there ANYWAY to make one of these 1.3's run smooth without having to mess with something all the time...this is a very nice Sami...that I want to make right...is there somewhere I should start...maybe compression check...the engine shows no sign of leaks and runs good during driving:confused:
