When driving my zuk the motor will start to surge a bit the just quit running.
It will not re-start unless I remove the fuel return line from the fuel regulator. I pull it off and start the motor the replace the line. This will pump some fuel into the engine compartment so as soon as it starts I shut it off then put the hose back on and its good for a few more miles.
I have blown the fuel return line out with compressed air, though it may be blocked.
I checked the vacuum suction pressure on the vacuum side of the regulator and its around 20 at idle. I even drove it with the vacuum line off, seem to run a bit rich. but will eventually die also. (Again remove the return line from the regulator start motor and things are fine again for a few more miles. I removed the gas cap to see if that was it -no change again.
Any one have any ideas? Its been a trouble free driver and this just started.

sounds like it could be some sort of vapor lock in fuel system, try putting a wooden clothes pin on the metal fuel lines to see if this will dissapate some heat. I know my ex father-in-law had to do this on some of his old corvairs.
