Hey there I am having problems getting heat !!! The air blows out just not HOT.. The thermostat has been replaced , heater core replaced 5 yrs ago. I want to say the vent or the "trap door" that opens or closes when you switch from one to the other is getting stuck. Is there anyone out there that can tell me where that vent is located and tell me how to unstick it!!! THX

If air is blowing out of the vents, then it wouldn't appear that the vent door is stuck. You advise that you put in a new thermostat - was it the proper one for your car, proper gasket, etc. You may have either the 1mm or 4mm deep housing for the thermostat - the former uses a paper gasket, the latter an rubber gasket on the thermostat. What temp thermostat did you put in? Did you make sure that the bleed hole in the thermostat faces the radiator? Did you burp the cooling system to get out the air? Flushed the system?
