I have power to the fuse and the fuse is good but I have no power to the switch for headlights on my 86 samuri?

Unlike others, Suzuki uses a switched-ground scheme for operating the headlights, so the headlight switch is not powered directly. Get yourself a copy of the schematic (e.g. from my gallery) and you can easily trace out the current path.

i had a 1978 toyota and the headlight switch was the same in my 87 samurai. the toyota had a lot of play in the switch and was flimsy my headlights didnt go on either...i found out is was the switch the metal contacts inside the switch were not makin contact. sooo. i re wired a auto parts store switch to it. bcuz the original one was way to expensive and they werent any in the junk yards at the time.hope this help u out.
