Hello all,

First post here. I'm trying to help my sister out with her 86 samurai. We just changed the redneck carb that had been jerry-rigged onto the Sammy (from a Toyota or something) with a direct fit Weber made for the samurai. Everything went well and it fired up no problem. However, the aforementioned redneck carburetor was set up with an electric choke and the new Weber is a water choke. Could somebody please snap a few photos of where the coolant lines are supposed to go to in the samurai? I would imagine one goes to a port on the manifold somewhere and another to the radiator? I greatly appreciate it!!

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum.
I can only offer what my SJ413 with the Aisin carb has. If your over the pond from me then I assume it had the Hitachi carb. I would expect the system/layout for the choke to be much the same though. On mine the water goes from the inlet manifold to the choke unit and then returns to the water rail behind the water pump.
