ive just purchased a 1986 sammy and use it mostly for two tracking but now im looseing raditor fluid somewhere but doesnt appear to be in the oil it has the 1.3 with 86000 miles on it many question what lift too use but keep it closer to stock just want a bettter ride or a better seat that help out a older guys back lol other thing wondering do i take the 1.3 out and rebuild it or try finding a 1.6 8 valve and be done with it or find a turbo too help it out im new to all this thanks for any info

Welcome to the Forum. It would help if you would tell us where you are located at? As for smoothing out your ride, I put a reverse shackel kit on my 87. You get about a 2" lift but a lot smoother ride. I added a 100 hp motor with Header and weber carb and fast flow exhaust. A compression check might be a good place to start if the coolant isn't dripping to the floor? Just my .02 cents worth.

thanks for the info still no find on where the antifreeze is going maybe out the exaust side its sooty in the pipe but im not seeing steam either hmm im stumped where did you get the 100hp motor did you rebuild the 1.3 or do something different

Losing water/antifreeze:
One place to look that most people miss is the underside of the intake manifold. The aluminum starts to deteriorate and pin holes form on the underside, usually towards the rear.
