2016 Suzuki Vitara (brake issue) car kept rolling forward even with the brake pedal fully applied

Hi All.

I just had a scary incident at the traffic lights where my 2016 Vitara Turbo S kept rolling forward at a slow speed even when I fully stepped on the braking pedal.
Luckily I pulled the emergency brake and changed the gear to park in time before bumping the car in front of me.
Any ideas what the brake issue could be?

I brought the car used and owned it for about 6 months now.

Get the brakes checked, either badly worn, leaking slave cylinder, or bad master cylinder. If you don't have the mechanical skills or knowledge then don't run the risk, get a qualified person to investigate for you.
There's a recall for faulty brake booster valves on the suzuki range
RECALL

get booked into a dealership, its a free repair and takes about an hour.

Thanks for that, will chase this up. Do you think the faulty brake booster recall is related to my particular issue though?

Nope - a faulty brake booster (or check valve) will reduce the "assistance" provided by the power brake system - the brakes will still work, they will just require more pedal pressure to stop the car.
