Just something annoying about the S-Cross standard radio (Non Touch).

I bought a 8gb USB drive, formatted it and then copied a few hundred songs on for a recent long journey.

Only to find that it can only read 255 songs. its not the format- seems like the head unit can only recognize 255 as its maximum.

Anyone know what can be done to change this? or any updates to this unit?

I believe you need to format it again but choose the other option than before (probably FAT32 would be applicable). After doing that, all should work just fine. I am using 16GB on the same unit (MP3 radio non-touch in 2013 S-Cross) and it is all good.

Contacted the dealer as well. They wrote back saying the head unit can only handle 255 songs and files 4mb and less. Best to test yours and see how far it can read.
