Hi everyone.
I have SX4 2011 and changed the factory radio to Pioneer AVH-X4800BHS. I'm trying to install ASWC-1 Axxess Steering Wheel Control but I have a problem...

http://contentdocs.installernet.com/documents/vehicle/10991.pdf

In the paper installation manual the control wire of the ASWC-1 is Green and should be connected to pin 11 on the car's wire harness. At the website installation manual the control wire of the ASWC-1 is Gray/Blue and should be connected to pin 19 on the car's wire harness.

For both manuals:

Red wire of the ASWC-1 should be connected to 12-volt accessory wire, one that turns on and off with the ignition key (pin 2).

Black wire of the ASWC-1 should be connected to ground (pin 20).

Anyway I tried both ways but still it don't work. When I turn the ignition on, the led of the unit start flashing rapidly, after few second I can see 6th led flash in Green and 6th led flash in Red after that I can see on my radio the "volume symbol" for few second but the buttons on the Steering Wheel doesn't work at all, after that the unit start flashing Green/Red, and that's it....

Could you please help me with this problem?

BTW

I checked pin 19 usually is 0V but if I hit the brake it's becoming 4-5V

Welcome to the forum

This is my take on the online fitting instructions.
The old stereo ACC was blue/white but any ACC (ign live) will do.

Second opinions welcome :).

I assume different resistances to earth mean different stereo controls .

Red wire from the ASWC-1 it is connected to Red wire from the vehicle ((pin 2) 12-volt accessory wire)
Black wire from the ASWC-1 it is connected to Black wire from the vehicle ((pin 20) ground)
Gray/Blue wire form the ASWC-1 it is connected to Black/Yellow wire from the vehicle (pin 19)

I have posted up the wiring diagram I have.
Pin 2 is shown as backlight, side light circuit ?
Pin 19 is shown as Green.

As I see it..
Red from aswc goes to pin 9 .. (ACC .. Ignition live .. Blue/white)
Black from aswc goes to earth
Gray/blue from aswc goes to pin 19 .. Green to steering wheel switch
pin 20 on connector needs to be earthed .. Black to steering wheel switch

Hey Darrell,
you was right!!!!!! I figured out what it was my problem..... I was confused from the instruction of AXXESS.... This dudes, use on their picture the female harmless connector, not the male 1721 manufacturer connector. But they don't mentions it....

http://contentdocs.installernet.com/documents/vehicle/10991.pdf

Because of that I did everything backwards.... But when I looked again in your picture, I realized my mistake.....

Thank you so much for the help!!!! I really appreciate it!!!

I have a 2011 Suzuki GV and just installed an Eincar Stereo DVD player with GPS Bluetooth and backup camera using a Metra 70-1721 harness adapter. Everything works except for the steering wheel controls. The Eincar stereo has a green in yellow wire for steering wheel control key 1 and a red in white wire for steering wheel control key 2. Rather than using a Metra Axxess ASWC-1 adapter for the steering wheel controls, can I splice the green in yellow wire for steering control key 1 into the green wire PIN number 19 on the factory harness? The Eincar harness already has the red positive wire and black ground wire connected from the factory harness. Is it possible that this could work without having to buy a Metra steering wheel control adapter? I don't see why this would be any different than the factory harness connected to the factory radio. All feedback gratefully appreciated, Thanks!
