My 2009 Equator is squealing something awful:(. I put some belt dressing on the belt and it just got worse:mad:! I think one of the pulleys may be bad. The sound is coming from the drivers side of the engine. I just can't tell which one it is, because its so loud, A/C, fan or one of the other two pulleys. By the way it is a in line 4 cyl. Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Harrillfam

either
1: tension the belt correctly, or
2: replace the belt, all belt dressing does is makes the ribbed belts slip worse, works great on V section belts.

OR the battery is on its last legs, placing massive amperage needs / load on the alternator. ;)

Typically this happens after the vehicle sits overnight (or longer) and self-discharges down to a significant power available loss. With a 2009 and assuming the original battery still, I'd look at that issue first off.
