Hi all,
I am considering putting a 2006 1.5L Swift motor into a 91 Sierra. Does anyone know if it would fit, and would it be to much time and effort? I know the 1.6 Vitara motors are the easiest, but have got onto a cheap motor with low km. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I imagine fitting it on the Sierra would be a nightmare. There are no adapter plates to adapt the engine to the Samurai tranny; since it is a front wheel drive engine, the exaust pipes will need to be completely re-routed; the coolant hoses, the AC gas pipes, etc. Not to mention the engine mounts. Get a Vitara 1.6 or 2L engine. conversion kits are readily available for those.

Motor and tranny together. Not doing it now anyway, figured it would be to much mucking around.
