Not sure where you obtained the code description, but look here...

Did you disturb the ABS sensor or wire. ??

C1122 is the engine speed signal circuit failure on swifts and ignises (ignii?) steering modules.

for some queer reason known only to Suzuki they used the same code for 2 different things on different models.

Did you damage the vehicle speed sensor wire between the engine and steering rack module?, its right by the bell housing and you may have snagged it removing the clutch.

DTC C1122: Engine Speed Signal Circuit Failure
Vehicle speed signal is 50 km/h (31 rpm) or more and engine
speed signal is 220 rpm or more for 20 seconds continuously
(1 driving cycle detection logic)

You need to use a live data scanner and monitor the ABS/speed sensor system...

The code reader is essential useless for diagnostics...

Hi yeah it's fixed now it was to the engine speed sensor wire going to the power steering wrack from the engine. Thanks anyway.

Yay. It's an easy one to damage, it's in a stupid place. Glad you got it sorted.

Same problem with the same vehicle?
Your profile is showing a 2014SX4, this discussion is about a 2001 Ignis.
It's probably a good idea to start your own thread and give us the details there.

My 2005 ignis is showing the same fault code.. the revs are spiking to 2000 while in neutral.
Does anyone have a clue? Do you think its correlated?

Thanks

Seeing that no one else has reported engine speed spiking, no, it's unlikely to be related to a steering rack connection.

Your symptoms are different, start your own thread,
