i think murphy has been under my bonnet/hood of my 2000 samurai long body - the vehicle starts fine when cold. i run it till it's well warmed and switch off. i can start it as many times as i want if i turn the key. if i leave it for a while it cranks fine (new battery) but will not start. you can do what you like, nothing takes. after about an hour it will suddenly start just as it should.
i've got spark:D
the petrol pump is working:D
but it seems that there is no petrol getting to the fuel injection system or (surely??) it would fire up:(

it's at the dealer at the moment and he is scratching his head (which doesn't help me much)

has anyone here experienced something like this?
any info would be much appreciated

sorry, rhinoman, i've been away for the last ten days.

i have the 8v motor. i have the idea that something somewhere is not putting fuel into the motor - could this be something to do with the electronic control of the injectors (ECU)??

As its heat related I would suspect that the injector is breaking down or that the ECU is faulty. The dealer should be able to diagnose the problem with an oscilloscope.
