i have a late 80 model samurai, all the sudden it just started running on 2 cylinders. i changed the plugs put on new wires. vehicle has 80000 miles mostly on street, everything is stock. is ther any common probs with these engines that may cause this? any help is greatly appreciated

Get a compression testor from your local auto parts place and see what the compression is down to. It may have been a hard 80K miles and time for a rebuild. Any strange noises (clamk, ping, etc)?

also try checking your distributor cap. i had the same problem only i lost 1 cylinder. anyways what happened was i got an arc down the side of my cap which ended up making the electrical current take that path instead of my plug wire. the fix was under $20 from napa.
