pull the fuel filter (on the frame, near the tank) and try to blow through it in the same direction as the arrow. If you can't, then it needs replacing.
if you can blow thru it replace it. Not many fuel filters on these vehicles you can actually blow thru unless brand new and dry. Not the correct way to check a filter either. Easier to replace it, its a maintenance item anyway and should be replaced every few years. If it hasn't been replaced in the last 5 years its worth doing anyway.
