So, I think I need a new turbo... but it seems to function properly.

Symptoms: oil in the air intake, a little smoke, and a bad smell.

the intercooler has an oily residue, I also took the turbo off and apart and there is alot of oil inside the air side of the turbo...

But there is little to no play in turbine. in and out = no, up and down...maybe a little.

So, Recommendations for a new turbo? I cannot find the exact parts number online

I have this ja11 660cc 1991

check with a local turbo reconditioner, it may just need a new seal, as long as its not excessively worn on the shaft its relatively cheap.

New f6a turbo needed

just found out mine has a crack in the cast part of the turbo. nice and white around the crack...so, thats part of where the bad smell has been coming from

and my turbo says this
RHB31 Parts: 13900-83C00

Try Yokohama Motors in Japan. They have a dedicated section for Jimnys and have the correct turbo and the required gasket set, too.
