So I blew the head gasket on my 1985 and I found a running Swift with only 70,000 miles on it. The car runs like a champ not to mention I picked it up for 300 bucks. I cut a hole in the swifts fire wall and have begun pulling everything through. Very carefully and neatly labeling and doing unplugging the harness. I plan to use as much of the swift wiring as possible since the car is much newer (1998). My goal is to pull all of the wiring through minus the lighting wiring and assemble it into my samurai. Splicing in the lighting, wipers and such. I have a few questions that I do not know the answer to. I have trolled the previous threads but did not come to a conclusion so here it is.

Will the swift steering column bolt up in my Samurai ?

Will the 90 degree distributor fit on the 1.3 swift motor?

I have a steering box from an astro van. Will the swift power steering pump have enough power to make it work?

Does anyone have any experience with this build that is still active on this site?

Does anyone have any pictures or ideas for what I am trying to do?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

Form what I've read you will need to use the Sammy camshaft because the Swift cam doesn't have the gear on it to drive the distributor.
