Hello all,

Picked up 10 spoke 16x7 wheels from a '03 Grand Vitara. I plan on installing these on my '92 Samurai JA. Currently I have the 2WD 15x5 OEM iron wheels.

My current Samurai 15" tire size is 205/75/R15 = 27.1" diameter.

The GV 16" tire size is 235/60/R16 = 27.1" diameter.

Read online the OEM specs for the Samurai wheels:
JA: 195/70/R15 = 25.7"
JX: 205/70/R15 = 26.3"

Should I be closer to JX diameter?
215/60/R16 = 26.2"
225/60/R16 = 26.6"
235/60/R16 = 27.1"

Thx

EDIT
Added more wheel info and sample picture.

An inch or so difference in diameter is not going to make a significant difference to the way the car runs, and you can also change the axle gears to compensate for larger tires.

Sorry BOLT PATTERN should be: 5x5.5in or 139.7mm.

Thanks fordem.

Got the wheels GV R16 and tires 225/60/R16 = 26.6" diameter. So I'm half inch lower. The Grand Vitara wheels seem to stick out an inch on each side. So I'm two inches wider. :)

PS
These Kumho Solus TA11 have an $80 rebate. :D

Thanks Rhinoman.

Had issues with the Grand Vitara spare tire (235/60/R16) didn't fit. Was able to resolve by adding a 1" spacer (5x5.50 to 5x5.50). Perfect fit!

All done!
