Default O5 verona shifting and no acceration

I have an 05 Verona which is shifting/jumping hard into R and in D but not as bad. It makes a clunk noise almost as if I'm dropping my transmission. Then at which point I put my foot on the pedal I have no acceleration. I once had this problem in 08 which I took to the dealer and they said it was an electrical problem since then I have lost the paper work and remember no other details. Anyone have any ideas or comments?

had the same problem - transmission range switch and trans fluid change will fix it. To get into drive and at least be able to start smoothly - shift from park or reverse into 3rd then go to drive. Its a temporary work around but on to the dealer for you.
