Just a few weeks ago I had a head job(thats what the guys I work with said it was called so if they punked me into saying something nasty it's not my fault
) performed on my Verona and it had been running great until I went on a small road trip this past weekend.
When I first hit the interstate part of the trip there was a wreck so it was about 20 minutes of a stop and crawl pace then the flow opened up and the car was fine until an hour and half later when I got off the interstate. When I hit the stop light at the end of the exit ramp I thought a helicopter was flying right over the car because of the loud rhythmic thumping I heard. Then I realized it was my car
It still drives fine and I don't feel any jerking or power stalls like I have felt before when I had tranny probs from other cars in the past, but the mechanic that did the head job says he thinks it is the transmission.
I am taking it to be looked at tomorrow, and before I go and I want to know if anyone else has experienced something like this and can maybe tell me what I might be looking at as far as repairs. After $900 in engine work just a few weeks ago, I hoping for something relatively minor.
Thanks for any info that can be shared.
