Default 05 Suzuki Verona Thermostat

Whats up guys, my Verona came up with the P0128 code when I pulled it using a code reader. Which leads me to think its either the thermostat, or coolant temp sensor. The only replacements I've come across so far were housings that didnt designate if they include the thermostat and used ones on eBay. Had I saw this coming I would have picked up a couple, when I sold Suzukis a few years back haha. I've tried searching the forum before asking, but couldn't bring up anything.

Any luck finding a replacement? Or possibly under a different vehicle?

P0128 does not necessarily mean that your thermostat needs replacing. It can happen if you do not allow sufficient engine warming time on a very cold day. I would first clear the code and see if it recurs.

I am getting the same code.

My temp never gets past the halfway point, but sometimes there is a overheating smell, if you know what I mean.

I have tried online and locally to find a replacement thermostat, but have had no luck. Is this a dealer only item?

You can find a OE replacement thermostat from Suzuki Car Parts Catalog Online Store.
