Question Just bought an SX4 but .....

Hi Guys,

I've just picked up a 2009 SX4 Hatch AWD in white with 151000 kms on it and love it. It turns on a dime and handles like a Skateboard.

However even though it's not overheating and the temp gauge looks fine .... the Fan seems to run most of the time.

Everything else seems perfectly normal and their were no codes on it when I scanned it pre purchase ...

Is this normal ?

Also where can you get a bug deflector for these ?

Thanks.

Mick

Default SX4 Fan

Hi, I also have just purchased an SX4 2009 1.5 petrol.
The engine fan should kick in and out as temp rises or cools with fan!

I suspect a previous owner has wired it direct as the sensor was not functioning.

Take it to an auto spark and get it tested not expensive!
Good luck.

INdeed...which fan ? There are possibly two fans in front of the car..., one for engine cooling, one for A/C condensing. If A/C is ON all the time in the car (A/C is also ON if on full or partial DEF ) , then the AC condensing fan will be ON.
ANd by the way, fill up your profile or signature...details on where you live, engine type , Manual or Auto, .and other details you have mentioned akready.. ......)
