Default Rear Wheel Hub Removal

Does anyone have any tricks to remove rear wheel assembly when it is rusted on? The service manual says to use slide hammer with attachment bolted onto lug bolts. Don't have a slide hammer or plate that attaches to wheel lug bolts. Was thinking to unscrew bolts driven into deep nuts to push on back side of wheel flange and rear axle mounting structure ?

FOr a similar situation recently(not on same car) , my son attached a chain loop to the device and swingned a heavy sledgehammer inside the loop...a single blow did it.
