Default new stereo install

so i just picked up my sx4 crossover monday and its time to put my system in it. i have a jensen vm9310 indash dvd player to put in. is there any kits made that allow my to keep my steering wheel audio controls? and does anyone know the best place to go through the firewall? i am also running 2 10" mtx's and need power.
thanks
pat

unfortunetly, once you yank out the stock headunit, the steering controls will never work on another unit. which is a bummer. you will also need to find a mounting kit for the new head unit, crutchfields has them. single DIN and double. as far as the firewall goes, theres one big rubber grommet smack dab in the middle of the car. i routed my wire thru there for my driving light switch. and then down behind the stereo in the dash and into the middle console.

do some search in pac-audio.com
Steering Wheel Interface Vehicle Instruction Guide

PAC SWI-X should work for SX4 per their site. Its got a IR eye you need to point to your radio. people have put the IR eye behind the steering wheel, next to roof light.. etc.. you can call PAC audio ask if the SWI-X will work for your radio.

I have used SWI-PS for my pathfinder. PS got a wired connection to the head unit, vs. the X unit have IR eye.
