Default Heated Mirror

Hi,

I am new to this forum.. Just picked up my 08 SX-4 with convenience package. One question.. during rain, it seemed as only driver side mirror had heated mirror. Is this how this supposed to be? or both mirrors supposed to heat up?

thanks for ur help.

The manuel says that if the driver's side rearview mirror has the "mark" on it (defogger symbol) that it is also equipped with the heated outside rearview mirrors.. on both sides. Does your driver side rearview mirror have a defogger mark on it? In my 2008 manuel it is on page 4-15.

Are you sure you had the mirror heaters activated (via the rear defrost button)..maybe it just seemed like the driver's mirror was working but in reality neither were on. just wondering? But yes, both mirrors are heated if equipped.

Hi Jeff.. Yes, both my outside mirrors melt the ice off within about a minute, but it takes the rear window two or three minutes more. I was actually surprosed at how hot the outside rear view mirrors are to the touch. They must pull a lot of current.
