Default Please Don't Crash Your Sx4 Or Get Hit By A Deer

I was hit by a deer on the NY state thruway near Albany on Thanksgiving morning. It is now Jan 24, 2 months later and I am still being jerked around about the availability of parts by Suzuki, Geico, and the body shop performing the work. No one wants to be accountable for this and points the finger at the other guy.The sad thing about this royal stroking i'm getting.......
I WORK FOR A SUZUKI MOTORCYCLE DEALER!!!!!
And I still can't get a straight answer!!!
This is also the first brand new car I have ever bought, and it was a week old to the day.
So like I said, don't crash your SX4 or get hit by a deer

Ouch. That's the ultimate nightmare for a car fan - getting in a fender bender a mere week after buying your new car...

Sorry to hear about your wreck. I live in deer, moose and elk country and have been there, did that. Where is the support from your auto insurance co.? Have you tried to go to SUZUKI customer service? Sometimes there is a phone number in the operators manual. I am driving extra carefull these days after veiwing your photo. I have recently installed deer whistles on my SX4. We shall see if they work.

Exclamation Suzuki Customer Service

Hey,

Too bad about the accident. How much jerky did you get from the deer. Many states allow the driver to take the deer.

Anyway, I have been VERY happy with the level of service from Suzuki Customer Relations. The phone number is (800) 934-0934.

I can't understand them not being able to tell you when the parts will be available (even if they have to come from Japan). I'd try to find out when/if the dealer actually ordered the parts. Too many times, this is the root of a parts availability problem. Ask the dealer for the order number BEFORE you call Suzuki and then ask them to research the order.

Good luck, Marv

My first new car was an AerioSX, and the day after I drove it home, some dumb chick in a Toyota Truck backed into me. It only left a dent in the fender, but they refused fault. Even though I got her info, her parents refused to be at fault. I got it fixed, but I almost had to take them to court. Don't crash your car in SoCal, no one will take fault for it, ever.
