Default 2011 Kizashi Transmission Problems

Hello, Recently I noticed that my 2011 Kizashi was making a lot of road noise and it was getting progressivly louder. Thinking it was a bearing or a tire I brought it in today to my dealer. To my suprise I recieved a call from the dealer advising me that the issue is with the transmission and that they may have to replace it. They rented me a car (it ended up being an SX4) and said that thier specialist will be in on Monday to review the problem. My car just passed 50,000km and yes I did all the service work....has anyone else had any problems with a transmission with so few km? What was the outcome? I am looking forward to finding out what the problem actually is. To be honest I really like this car and this is the first issue I have had with it.

Good luck with it and keep the updates coming. A few people say the CVT's are problematic, but actual real cases seem to be few and far between.

Default 2011 Suzuki Kizashi Transmission update

Just as a quick update I did get the call back from the dealer advising that they do have to replace the transmission. Not too sure what happened but apparantly its cheaper to replace the unit than trying to tinker with it.

That's a fast decision and the best outcome for you too.

A new CVT might be improved internally possibly as well?

Are they going to give you a extended warranty?

Default Replaced CVT

Hi, i want to know If they change your VCT, and if this fix the problem, my Kizashi had the same problem but also freeze on 6 gear, that happened just when I travel a few hours. The biggest problem is thAT with the new CVT and the computer of the transmission the car its making the same noise and keep freezing in 6 gear if I drive over 3500 rrpm
hope you had a better result.
