Default Ram air hood actually function?

do you think this hood would function well and have an effect on horsepower, torque, and gas mileage, or is the opening too small to make much of a difference???
Suzuki Kizashi Body Kits 2010 - Suzuki Body Kits - RKSport™ - Ram Air Hood

I have heard mixed stories about ram air hoods and have heard that they actualy help cool the engine down, but i've also heard that they are positoned poorly and are too small to provide much relief on the engine. I have also heard that you need to be at a very high speed (i.e. 70-90mph) to have enough air enter

The only thing I can see that doing is making the Kizashi look ugly.

If you have a look where the Kizashi air filter box draws its air from (common to most new cars), there is no way that this could make any positive change to performance. I guess it might help to cool down the engine bay slightly, but I bet it also incereases the drag.
