Default Alternator Replacement

Greetings! My alternator is about to die; but I am having a really hard time locating one. The dealership service has them for $700 plus $200 for installation. I really don't want to drop that kind of money into something like that. Is there any other alternators I can use? I saw some websites have generic ones; but I am not sure that they'll fit. I also don't know what amps or volts I would need! Any suggestions? Thank you!

Any Kizashi specific alternator should fit - they've all got the same basic engine.

Having said that, Rockauto doesn't list any alternators that I can find for any year model Kizashis.

The part number appears to be 31400-59L00 - so try searching for that number eg. https://www.google.com/search?q=Suzu...CoGl0gTT16OIAw

Just for giggles I punched up NAPA and for a (guessing) 2010 model got a REMAN unit for $250 US. Caveats are though... it is a 130 AMP, 6 Groove pulley model, specially noted. NOT sure if that is appropriate for your particular year / model.

NAPA AUTO PARTS

And the Suzuki part number that I am seeing is... 3140059L01.

Do you have a local alternator rebuilding company / shop?

Have you had yours TESTED? Maybe it is a wiring, belt slippage or even a battery issue.

And...not a warranty item for you?
