Reverse switch has the male plug on the pigtail (small). It goes towards the front.
Fifth gear has female (large). It goes in the rear hole.
If you get them wrong, just do like its been done on my 87. Cut the plugs off and stick the wires in the right holes. I just noticed this, when I went out and looked at it, to answer your question.
I think the person that owned this before me was on crack. His answer to an oil leak, was just tighten it down some more (except for the carb mounting bolts, which came loose on the way home last week). Fuse keeps blowing? Put in a bigger one! Lost the 10.9 grade bolts on the driveline? Low grade bolts and nylon locknuts from Lowes should be ok, right? Motor mount broken? How about a big o' wire tied to the engine and firewall, to keep it from rocking around?
Its always something exciting, when I work on this one.
But hey, at least I've got the outside and interior looking good.
Engine and drivetrain, is next.
Sorry to hi-jack the thread. I'm just happy with how this one turned out and wanted to show it off.
