Unhappy

Hi, new to this type of message board - but think it will work wonders for the Suks. Have found that those wonderful little workhorses, Suks, get lots of pokes from the Landie and other expencive possermobiles persons. One comment that comes up too many times is that Suks are smokey!! Must admit that my little jeep is a bit smokey - white smoke too. Has anyone come across a problem with head caskets. Regards Carol

Smokey? All Suks? No way! Everyone Ive owned(2) has been tight and usually take some time to break in...mines only got 20k on it and its just now really starting to break in with the added benifit of improved gas mileage.

But I thought white smoke was fuel related, either too rich or too lean...you might have the timing checked. Maybe check your plugs too.

Its the black smoke you gotta worry about the most.

wrong. white smoke constant is steam wich in case is water burning in the cylider head blue smoke is oil burning from bad valve seals or piston rings.black smoke is from to much fuel in the cylinder can be from bad carb or sensor on fuel injected model or a bad o2 sensor.a new o2 sensor will improve your gas miles.if you have over 75.000 miles
