Default 86 sami 1.6 carburator

Hello, I'm new to the forum, I have my second sami, a '86 with a 1.6 in it.
I bought it this way and it looks like it has the original FI intake manifold on it because it has some 'shade tree' carburetor mounts and a carburator that I don't think is a sami.
I want to go to a new carburetor set, the side draft looks to be the way to go but is to expensive for my blood right now. I understand the weber is a good fit but I have to cut a hole in the hood for clearance, which is no problem.
Can you guys tell me if the weber will bolt up the intake manifold that is on the 1.6?? Sorry, I can't tell for sure if it is.
How do you tell if it is the right carburetor and not a FI manifold?
And what if the best way to go about this dilemma??
Thanks to you forum members, I have got some GREAT info from you.

The EFI manifold will have two tappings toward the front for the IAT and CTS sensors and has a circular opening where the carb mounts. The carb manifold has two circular openings, one for each barrell. The Weber can clear the hood but it may depend on what engine mountings you have. The Weber will need an adapter plate to fit.
The 1.6 manifold will flow better than the 1.3.
